The person behind the camera.

My name is Ini, and for over 15 years I’ve been making films and talking about filmmaking — long enough to have strong opinions, and honest enough to tell you when something isn’t worth your money.

I grew up in Nigeria, and that upbringing shaped how I see a story long before I ever picked up a camera. Resourcefulness, working with what you have, getting the shot right because there’s no reshoot budget — that’s in everything I make, even now.

Your Filmmaker started not just because I love to teach, but because I kept noticing a gap. Most gear content was either surface-level hype or written for people who already knew everything. I wanted to make content that met you where you actually are — on location, figuring it out, trying to get the shot right.

So that’s what this channel is. Practical. Honest. Built around real shoots, real decisions, and real results, fifteen years in the making.

Over the years, I’ve worked with brands including Canon, Fujifilm, RØDE, Godox, Saramonic, Amaran, Accsoon, and many more. Every review and integration you’ll find here is held to the same standard: does it actually work when you need it to? That’s the only question that matters.

I care deeply about exposure, light, and getting the most out of whatever camera is in my hands.

Outside the channel, I co-produce The 91 Podcast with my wife Ugonna, and we home educate our two children, which probably explains why efficiency and clarity matter so much to how I create.
